Beware of DVD player
|
| I purchased the set 11/02. I have been very pleased with the speakers, receiver and remote. The 5-disc DVD carousel worked well initially, but within 6 months began occasionally giving "Disk error" with some CDs and DVDs. Othertimes, the DVD carousel drawer would inexplicably open when I was just selecting a different disk already loaded. Finally, one month out of the 1-yr. warranty, the DVD player broke completely, trapping 5 disks inside. Onkyo dragged their feet allowing the unit to be examined, and finally claimed it was my abuse that caused it. I have owned Onkyo stereo components for 13 years, but will never buy them again. |
