My husband and I wanted to get a camcorder and decided to do some research. After checking with several different review websites and speaking with our media friends, we found that the camcorders with taping capabilities had more options than disc recording. We determined that the Panasonic PV-GS80 was the best deal! Thanks goodness we were right. Together we are having fun with this little guy! It will help us to create memories of our loved one's! It was very simple to read and learn. Not very heavy on the wrists at all! We are not professionals yet, but hope to soon be! This camcorder does take great still pictures and the effects are great! We will next try to connect it to our television. Panasonic is highly recommended by everyone we meet and its product longevity is known to be great! We opted on Sony and JVS because of their non-stop price wars and low-quality products! They were once two of the best companies to buy from but now trying to save money the products they sell are not as good! Panasonic has done it with this camcorder!
If looking for something inexpensive, please consider this camcorder! It was priced in between the range we looked into. Also, a person does not have to be a novice camcorder user! We wanted it for enjoyment and it has proven its use! Our only pet peeve is that it did not come with any tapes or a camcorder bag! We had difficulty getting them via a third-party purchase! Amazon came to the rescue and reimbursed us for our troubles! However, we did purchase them at Wal-Mart for a reasonable price! One other recommendation, get the camcorder bag! The price is still very reasonable and adding the extra costs did not exceed our total price of roughly $300.00. What a Deal! Thanks Amazon! Thanks Panasonic! Thanks again for the wonderful memories!!!
