| Does this unit have an open-loading door command on the remote?Yes. Does it have a fast forward/reverse on the remote?Yes. READ the manual folks.Also you can go to the philips site for other info. The reason you cannot have a multi-region player off the shelf is because it is technically "illegal". DVD disks are released at different times for different regions--- disk makers made it "illegal". However this unit can be hacked---see other review. I put a store-bought DVD in my computer, and using "Handbrake"(a free download) I reduce and convert a DVD into DivX format with size 1GB. I can put 4 movies on one DVD and all play well on this Philips 3960/37 unit.No decoding/compression needed by other programs.Quality of the DivX movies are excellent. |
