It features a built-in analog/digital (NTSC/ATSC) tuner that will receive free over-the-air HDTV signals and is Digital Cable Ready, so you can enjoy digital cable without an additional box or remote. RCA's AVR (Accurate Visual Reality) Picture Projection System provides brighter, automatically-aligned, life-like video that's perfect for both HDTV programming and watching DVD movies. It offers a 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio for watching movies in the format they were made to be watched. The digital 3-line comb filter separates black-and-white detail from color information to virtually eliminate edge crawls and rainbow effects while enhancing picture resolution. The 3:2 pulldown cinema video processing feature detects and compensates film--which is shot at 24 frames per second (fps) compared with video's 30 fps rate--to video for a smooth theater-like experience at home. Other features include adjustable color temperature, a 170-degree viewing angle, picture-in-picture (PIP) capability, front AV inputs for connecting video game consoles and video camcorders.
