Sharp LC26DV20U 26" LCD HDTV with Integrated ATSC Tuner and DVD Player description Get a complete entertainment solution for your living room or bedroom with the 26-inch LC26DV20U LCD HDTV, which includes a side-loading slot DVD player. This powerful, all-in-one component offers a streamlined design that saves space and enables you to easily enjoy your favorite DVDs without the clutter of an additional unit. It also features Sharp's latest innovative LCD screen, as well as an integrated HDTV tuner, bottom-mounted speakers, included stand, and pure digital audio/video connectivity via an HDMI input. It has a built-in ATSC tuner that pulls HD signals right from the airwaves (via an optional antenna), and its QAM tuner is fully compatible with unscrambled HDTV cable reception. A standard analog NTSC tuner receives standard-definition (SD) programming. This set features Sharp's proprietary Advanced Super View (ASV) LCD panel technology, which uses an enhanced color filter that permits more light throughput. The screen also offers a low-reflection coating to reduce the effect of sunlight and interior lighting to provide vivid large-screen pictures wherever you install your LCD television. The LC26DV20U delivers a true 1366 x 768-pixel HDTV resolution (capable of displaying 1080i and 720p high-definition signals), and it also features a wide 170-degree viewing angle, 450 cd/m2 (candela per square meter) brightness rating--perfect for viewing colorful details in even direct sunlight--12ms (millisecond) response time, and 800:1 contrast ratio. (The higher the contrast ratio, the greater a TV's ability to display subtle color details and not get washed out by ambient room light.) It has two bottom-mounted stereo speakers that produce 10 watts of total audio power (5 watts per channel) and can provide SRS WOW virtual surround sound for an enveloping movie night experience. Tech Talk Component video (also called Y/Pb/Pr) features a three-jack video input, which provides separate connections for luminance (Y), blue color difference (PB) and red color difference (PR). This results in increased bandwidth for color information, resulting in a more accurate picture with clearer color reproduction and less bleeding than you would get with S-Video or composite (RCA yellow video plug) connections.
