A competent system
|
| I pre-ordered this system because I was sold on the Theatre Sync as I own a Sony LCD TV and a Sony Blu Ray player. The system sounds great and was fairly easy to set up. I especially like the 3 HDMI inputs with the system. The theatre synch works great. When our Blu Ray player is turned on, the reciever automatically changes to the proper input. My only complaints are with the speaker wire lengths and the auto-calibration. The speaker wires are much to short to be used in anything but a small room. The wires also connect to the system with a color coded plug which means that if you need longer wires, you have to splice into the supplied wires. The auto-calibration doesn't work very well. I tried it several times, but you would probably be better off trying it once then just setting them manually if it didn't come out like you wanted. Overall, I'm pleased with the purchase. It does match my Sony Blu Ray player. The reciever is actually smaller than the DVD player which was a nice suprise. |
