Sony ECM-ZS90 Switchable Stereo Microphone with Super Directional Mode description This ultra-lightweight (2.2 ounces) microphone is perfect for recording meetings, presentations, conferences and more. An electret condenser microphone, the ECMZS90 has a small 1-by-4.75-inch footprint and fits easily onto any available surface. A frequency response of 80 to 15,000 Hz in stereo mode and 150 - 20,000 Hz in super-directional mode combines with a 65 dB dynamic range to capture all the important elements of speech, even at a distance. The ECMZS90 has an output impedance of 1,800 ohms ±30% and an effective output level of -40±3dB in stereo mode, -22 ±4 dB in super-directional high mode, and -28 ±4 dB in super-directional low mode. The ECMS90 runs off of Sony's CR2025 battery, which has a life of approximately 150 hours. The mini plug is gold plated for maximum conductivity, while its L-shape helps ensure that it doesn't come disconnected while in use. The 4.9 foot long cord lets you position the mic a reasonable distance from your recording device. The ECMZS90 switches between a stereo mode for situations in which several sound sources are positioned close to the microphone (such as a meeting), and a super-directional mode which helps block out unwanted background noise for recording sound sources located further away from the microphone (such as a presentation of lecture).
