Sylvania 6620LF4 20" Flat-Panel LCD TV description The 20-inch Sylvania 6620LF4 LCD TV is a great choice for smaller rooms, like the kitchen or den. And because it's EDTV-ready (Enhanced Definition TV) as well as for watching flicker-free, vibrant imagery from DVD movies. It's capable of displaying not only television signals in 480p (480-pixel progressive, with optional tuner), but also from video sources such as progressive-scan DVD players. This offers a far better resolution and picture than playing a DVD through an interlaced video screen from a standard CRT set. The 6620LF4 has a 640 x 480-pixel resolution, 4:3 standard aspect ratio, 170-degree horizontal viewing angle, 16 ms (millisecond) response rate, 500 cd/m2 (candela per square meter) brightness rating, and a 500:1 contrast ratio. (The higher the contrast ratio, the greater a TV's ability to display subtle color details and not get washed out by ambient room light.) The 3-line digital comb filter enhances resolution by removing blurred edges between colors and reducing dot crawl (tiny, moving dots of color along a sharp color separation in a vertical line, as in a depiction of a character's striped T-shirt).
