The LT32HVS performs 3:2 pulldown detection and reversal, too--a handy feature for wat ching progressive-scan movie programs in their native 24-frame format. To adapt 24 fra mes-per-second movies to 30 fps video, frames in the original movie must be duplicated ; 3:2 pulldown digitally corrects this duplication by removing the redundant informati on to display a frame-accurate picture. A 3D comb filter further enhances resolution b y removing blurred edges between colors and reducing dot crawl (tiny, moving dots of c olor along a sharp color separation in a vertical line, as in a depiction of a charact er's striped T-shirt). It provides PIP and split screen functionality between two diff erent video sources. Other convenience features include selectable aspect ratio (4:3, 16:9), channel return, favorite channel, closed captioning, clock/alarm, sleep timer, and V-Chip parental controls.
