Horrible! What a rip off!

| We actually purchased this item from another store since it had a considerable discount, and with free delivery, it couldn't be beat. Unfortunately the salesman misrepresented the tv's capabilities. When we saw the picture on the tv in the store and I mentioned how fuzzy it was he said it was because it was PBS and not cable or satellite, which would make a huge difference. Not true. We got it home and no matter what we did(we have The Dish) the picture quality was exactly like it was in the store -- CRAPPY! No I take that back.... EXTREMELY CRAPPY! Also we were never told we would have to purchase anything additional just to watch regular tv. When I called back and asked if there was anything we needed to do to watch tv without such a grainy picture I was told we should purchase an HD box and "special" cables. I said but wouldn't it only work with shows that are actually broadcast in HD.... he talked in circles and I never got a real answer... but after speaking with someone else I was told we would have good reception with shows broadcast in HD. Unfortunately that leaves out about 95% of channels that we watch, which made an HDtv purchase a waste of money. After looking doing some more research, I also found out that there are 19 HD channels avialable on the dish, with one only allowed if you qualify in your area, and out of those none is a channel I would normally view. And we would have to purchase a special HD box and pay additional money for HD viewing of the channels I wouldn't really watch in the first place. Needless to say, until HD is a normal broadcast format purchasing an HDtv is a HUGE waste of money! |
