Not exactly what I expected
|
Just bought this card to replace eVGA 6800 128MB (325/700), that I bought few years ago (the day when 6th generation of GeForce bacame available). Unfortunatelly the old card began with artifacts and temperature sensor failures. So I put this card (XFX 6800XT 256MB 350/1000) and to my desappointment it performs 10% slower.
For example: Aquamark gave me 50k on the old card VS. 44k on this one; 3DMark03 gave 10480 on the old one VS. 9200 on this one. It seems that 256Mb of memory clocked 1GHz doesn't help much...
Bottom line: XTreme edition was easily outperformed by non-Ultra 6800 with a bunch of years on it's back... |
